Are stories included with the purchase?
Are stories included with the purchase?
Yes, directly on the projector. Please note: iPhone screen mirroring does not work with these apps. This is a limitation of the streaming services that applies to all screen-mirroring functions, not an issue with this device. Instead, open the apps directly on the projector.
Do I need a subscription?
Do I need a subscription?
No. We do not lock content behind a paywall, and you do not need to buy cards or modules. Many parents simply use free read-aloud stories on YouTube. If you already pay for services such as Vooks or library apps, you can use those as well.
How can I load stories onto the projector?
How can I load stories onto the projector?
Dreamora is a playback device, not a media library: you provide the stories, and there is nothing else to buy. There are three options — here is the simplest one first:
- YouTube (built in): You can already find free picture books to read together. Storyline Online alone offers over 100 stories read by actors, with illustrations on screen. Simply search, choose a story, and get started.
- USB drive: Save photos or a PDF file with book pages to a USB drive and open it directly on the projector. The pages are projected onto the wall in sequence and can be turned with the remote control.
- Stream or connect: Stream content from an Android smartphone or connect a laptop or tablet via HDMI to project any content.
Do I need to purchase stories separately?
Do I need to purchase stories separately?
No. Dreamora works over Wi-Fi and can play any story, show, or picture book you choose. You never need to buy tapes, cards, discs, or figures — that’s exactly the point.
What age is Dreamora suitable for?
What age is Dreamora suitable for?
Ages 3 and up. Younger children can enjoy it too, but we recommend Dreamora for ages 3 and up because the package contains small parts.
How large is the projected image?
How large is the projected image?
That depends on how far the projector is from the wall or ceiling. From a bedside table, you’ll get an image size of about 40–60 inches. Move it farther back to make the image larger.
